Design & Drafting Technology

Design & Drafting Technology

Program Description

Our Design & Drafting Technology program gives you a career blueprint with a variety of options. We combine computer-aided drafting and architectural design which can be used in both residential and commercial construction.

You’ll be able to personalize your degree with a focus that reflects your interest.

These include:

Architectural Design Focus – This hands-on focus will teach you how to use AutoCAD and Revit software to create BIM (Building Information Modeling) designs. Our Architectural Design labs mimic a worksite which challenges you to develop problem solving skills in a real-world construction environment.

Computer Aided Design Drafting Focus – This focus takes a holistic approach to learning design techniques. You will receive hands-on training in an atmosphere commonly found in the industry in our Computer Design labs. We use 3-dimensional rapid prototyping plotters to produce solid ABS plastic parts, simulating the role of a Design Drafter on a variety of projects.

Student entering this program may qualify for the STEM CONNECT scholarship. Applications are currently being accepted. Learn more.
