Annual Notice to Students and Employees
SCC is committed to ensuring certain information is available to the public; to all enrolled and prospective students; and to current and prospective employees. These disclosures are provided annually. Students and employees are made aware of the Annual Notice’s availability through email. This notice provides required disclosures and links to where the information is found.
Annually, SCC makes available to prospective and enrolled students, information regarding the completion /graduation/transfer rates of certificate- or degree-seeking, first-time, full-time students. Additionally, fall-to-fall retention rate information is provided for both full-time and part-time students.
This information is made available to the National Center for Education Statistics for data collection. For more information on NCES, please see https://nces.ed.gov.
Southeast Community College uses the the Integrated Post-secondary Education Data System’s (IPEDS) definition of “certificate or degree-seeking, first time, full-time, undergraduate student” as one who has no prior post-secondary experience attending any institution for the first time at the undergraduate level and enrolling in at least 12 semester credit hours during the Fall semester. This includes students enrolled in academic or occupational programs. It also includes students enrolled in the fall term who attended college for the first time in the prior summer session, as well as students who entered with advanced standing (ie college credits or recognized post-secondary credential earned before graduation from high school).
The “IPEDS Data Feedback Report” is a key data about SCC, including a comparison with institutions.
Students in a number of SCC programs have access to licensure/certification exams and competency exams. This chart lists the program, name of the test and pass rates for SCC students sitting for the exams. Competency exam results for SCC programs are included.
The Student Athlete Outcomes report is produced annually and is available by August of each year. The report provides information about SCC student athletes and provides details of participation by sport, completion (graduation) and transfer rates, and the number receiving athletically related student aid.
The Graduate Employment/Transfer Report is produced annually and provides a snapshot of graduates from the previous academic year (July 1 through June 30). The report contains employment and salary information for each of SCC’s Programs of Study.
